DOMENICO DI GENNI
nasce a Termoli (CB) nel 1971.
Inizia sin da giovanissimo a dedicarsi alla pittura frequentando lo studio di Guido Jannucci.
Si iscrive all’Istituto Statale d’Arte di Vasto (CH) dove consegue il diploma in maestro d’arte.
Successivamente si iscrive all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze dove consegue il diploma di Pittura nel 1995, con una tesi sul gruppo Forma 1 e sull’Arte Astratta Italiana nel secondo dopoguerra.
Inizia a esporre dalla metà degli anni ‘90. Nel 1995 la bipersonale, Domenico Di Genni/Massimiliano Alioto, dal titolo Il Gatto e la Volpe alla Galleria Perseus di Firenze.
Sempre nel 1995 la collettiva di scultura Rinascimento e Scultura nella Casa Natale di Michelangelo Buonarroti, a Caprese Michelangelo (AR) e la personale Futura 1 al Caffè storico-letterario Giubbe Rosse, a Firenze.
Nel 1996 si trasferisce a Milano e si iscrive all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera dove segue le lezioni di Scultura di Giancarlo Marchese. Di quell’anno la mostra collettiva di pittura itinerante Arte Romanica ieri ed oggi con tappa al Palazzo Pretorio di Volterra (PI) e a Liège, in Francia.
Sempre nel ‘96 realizza una scultura pubblica dal titolo Messaggio per Castiglione Messer Marino (CH).
Dell’anno successivo la personale Le memorie del paesaggio alla Galleria Artis di Basilea (Svizzera).
Nel 1998 partecipa alla mostra-Concorso Giovani Scultori di Brera, a Tortona (AL) e vince il I premio.
In questi anni costituisce insieme ad altri artisti il gruppo Itineraria realizzando numerosi progetti di performance di scultura, installazioni, attività didattiche ed esposizioni del gruppo, che tutt’ora continua la sua attività in campo nazionale e internazionale.
Nel 1999 vince una borsa di studio dell’Akademie der Kunst Weissensee di Berlino, dove si trasferisce per un anno lavorando nel famoso studio di Mont Bijou Park e seguendo lezioni di maestri quali Sigmar Polke e in seguito Gerard Ritcher all’Accademia di Düsserdolf, in Germania.
Nel 2000, espone nella collettiva Zeit und Kunst all’Akademie der Kunst Weissensee; quindi tiene una personale all’Orange Café, sempre a Düsserdolf.
Tornato in Italia si stabilisce a Firenze, dove vive e lavora per due anni.
Nel 2001 partecipa alla Mostra Mercato Etruriarte, a Venturina (LI); nel 2005 e nel 2007 partecipa ad Arte Padova a Padova e nel 2006 a Expò Arte Bari, a Bari.
Nel 2003 espone per la prima volta le sue opere oltreoceano a Miami (Florida, USA) durante la mostra Landscapes nel prestigioso Brikell Place 2001.
Nel 2003 e nel 2008 partecipa al Premio Vasto Arte Contemporanea a Vasto (CH).
Del 2007 la mostra personale Inside curata da Anna Caterina Bellati, nella Chiesa di San Giuseppe al Duomo di Catania e la collettiva M’illumino di nero per la Notte Bianca di Catania, al chiostro del Complesso dei Gesuiti.
Del 2008 la mostra personale In a bed ancora a Catania. Quindi partecipa a OPEN 11 Mostra Internazionale di Sculture e Installazioni, in contemporanea con la Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, a Venezia Lido e a Il vuoto e le forme Mostra Internazionale di Sculture e Installazioni, Chiavenna (SO), entrambe curate da Anna Caterina Bellati.
Nel 2010 la personale alla Galleria San Lorenzo di Milano, Progetto Kabila, a cura di Alessandra Redaelli.
Nello stesso anno la mostra collettiva La trilogia del colore: Rosso, curata da Roberto Milani alla Galleria San
Lorenzo di Milano.
Del 2011 la collettiva This is a journey, curata da Roberto Milani per Casa d’Arte San Lorenzo allo Studio Rödl & Partner di Milano.
Nel 2012 la collettiva Il Vuoto e le Forme 3. Cantico, Mostra Internazionale di Sculture e Installazioni, a cura di Anna Caterina Bellati, Chiavenna (SO) e le personali Portraits, al Peponi Resort a Lamu Island e Ishara al Muthaiga Country Club a Nairobi, Kenya.
Nel 2013 partecipa alla 64. Edizione del Premio Michetti, La bellezza necessaria al MuMi, Museo Michetti di Francavilla al Mare (CH).
Nello stesso anno dopo numerosi soggiorni in Est Africa, si trasferisce a Watamu in Kenya, dove espone varie volte in mostre personali e collettive, Maridadi al Watamu Life, a cura di Grazia De Palma, Afrique, ComeBack Club, Watamu; Ocean View al Kobe Suite Resort. In seguito POA Paintings of Africa al Billionaire Resort di Malindi.
In questi anni realizza tre grandi collezioni private in Kenya al Kola Beach Resort di Mambrui, al Kobe Suites a Watamu e al Boutique Hotel The Villa, a Diani Beach.
Del 2015 la mostra personale Exotica, al Kobe Suites a Watamu.
Attualmente vive e lavora tra Italia e Kenya.

He starts from an early age to devote himself to painting by frequenting the studio of Guido Jannucci.
He enrolled at the Statale d’Arte di Vasto, CH (Italy) where he received his master's degree in art.
He then enrolled at the all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in Florence (Italy) where he graduated in Painting in 1995, with a thesis on the group Form 1 and Italian Abstract Art after World War II.
He began to show from the mid-90s. In 1995, the two-person Domenico Di Genni/Massimiliano Alioto entitled The Cat and the Fox to Perseus Gallery in Florence (Italy).
Also in 1995 the collective sculpture Renaissance and Sculpture in the Casa Natale di Michelangelo
Buonarroti in Caprese Michelangelo, AR (Italy) and personal Futura 1 at historical literary café Giubbe Rosse, in Florence.
In 1996 he moved to Milan and enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera where he attended sculpture lessons of Giancarlo Marchese. He partecipate to the itinerant group exhibition Romanic Art Yesterday and Today at the Praetorian Palace in Volterra, PI (Italy) and Liège (France).
Also in ‘96 he created a public sculpture titled Message for Castiglione Messer Marino, CH (Italy).
In 1997 the solo show The memories of the landscape at Artis Gallery Basel, Basel (Switzerland).
In 1998 participates in the exhibition-competition Young Brera sculptors in Tortona, AL (Italy).winning First prize.
In this year togheter with other artist he creates the group Itineraria partecipating and promoting numerous performances, sculpture projects, installations, exhibitions and educational activities of the Group, which still continues its activities.
In 1999 he won a scholarship Akademie der Kunst in Weissensee, Berlin (Germany), where he moved for a year working in the famous studio Montbijou Park and following the masters of classes such as Sigmar Polke and Gerard
Richter Academy Düsserdolf (Germany).
In this city, in 2000, he exhibited in the group Show Zeit und Kunst in Accademie der Kunst Weissensee, then held a Solo Exhibition at the Orange Café, Düsserdolf (Germany).
Back in Italy he moved to Florence, where he lived and worked for two years.
In 2001 participates in the exhibition Etruriarte Venturina, LI (Italy); in 2005 and in 2007 took part in Art Padua, Padua (Italy) and in 2006 at Expo Arte Bari, Bari (Italy).
In 2003 he exhibited for the first time his works overseas in Miami (Florida, USA) with the exhibition Landescapes in the prestigious 2001 Brikell Place.
In 2003 and 2008 in the Broad Contemporary Art Award in Vasto, CH (Italy).
2007, the exhibition Inside curated by Anna Caterina Bellati in the Church of St. Joseph to the Cathedral of Catania (Italy) and the collective M’illumino di nero, Notte Bianca in Catania, in the cloister of the Jesuit Complex.
2008 solo exhibition In a bed in Catania and participates in OPEN 11 International Exhibition of Sculptures and Installations curated by Anna Caterina Bellati in conjunction with the the Venice Film Festival, Venice Lido (Italy) and IL vuoto e le forme International Exhibition of Sculptures and Installations, curated by Anna Caterina Bellati in Chiavenna, SO (Italy).
In 2010, at the Galleria San Lorenzo in Milan (Italy), present Kabila Project, curated by Alessandra Redaelli.
In the same year the group exhibition The color trilogy, Red, curated by Roberto Milani at the Galleria San
Lorenzo in Milan.
2011 collective This is a journey, curated by Roberto Milani for Art House San Lorenzo at Studio Rödl & Partner in Milan.
In 2012 the collective Il vuoto e le forme 3. International Exhibition of Sculptures and Installations, curated by Anna Caterina Bellati in Chiavenna, SO (Italy). And Solo Exhibition Portraits, the Peponi Hotel, Lamu Island and Ishara at the Muthaiga Country Club in Nairobi, both in Kenya.

In 2013, after numerous stays in east Africa, he moved to Watamu in Kenya, where he exhibited several times in Solo and group exhibitions, Maridadi at Watamu Life, curated by Grazia De Palma; Afrique, ComeBack Club, Watamu; Ocean View to Kobe Suite Resort.
